If I had a chance...
If I had a chance to change the history, I would prevent the plane crash in Smolensk, which took place two years ago. Not only did I save about hundred of human beings but I would influence the shape of contemporary situation in Poland. As a matter of fact, the Smolensk catastrophy is used in political aspects and seem to be the main reason of division in Polish society and government, to some extent. One group confesses assasination theory, which was scrupulously prepared by Russians, while the others perceive the tragedy as an accident. However, the conspirators feel intense necessity to investiagte the matter, blaming governing political party on having the case neglected. On the other hand, the ruling political party seems to remain indifferent and treats the whole situation as political maneuverings. One side propels the other and this is how it works, like a vicious circle. The national tragedy, which should be treated with honest respect is used as a political tool. Who knows how it all would look like if the catastrophe did not take place?

Refering to the article about learning foreign languages. I'm completly surprised by the infromation that more and more British schools withdraw foreign language from curriculum. Students, who graduated from such a school, will be devoid of opportunity to develop himself, acknowledge other cultures or at least work abroad. I know, that many British will say they speak English fluently and it is one and only universal langauge and a I agree with them to some extent, but still they cannot limit themselves and younger generation. We need to learn other languages as langauge means culture, and culture means identity, In the time of globalisation knowing at least one foreign language is essential and ineviteable. In my opinon, sooner or later, every person (including British students) will be forced to learn and use a foreign language. Moreover, I need to add it won't be English because it is not a " foreign language" anymore. That's why, my dear colleagues, we need to focus on our French and German classes!
